About the Role
The Accounting Manager owns the core corporate accounting processes, financial close cycles, and US GAAP compliance functions. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger while scaling financial operations in a fast-paced environment. The team focuses on implementing robust controls under SOX frameworks, managing external audit relationships, and driving operational efficiency through automation of accounting workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring all journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements are completed in accordance with US GAAP.
- Design, implement, and maintain internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) consistent with SOX requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate quarterly reviews and annual audits, preparing detailed working papers and supporting documentation.
- Optimize corporate accounting systems and tools, leading initiatives to automate manual processes in ERP systems like Net Suite or Workday Financials.
- Collaborate with the FP&A team to analyze budget-to-actual variances and provide strategic insights into departmental spend.
- Supervise and mentor staff accountants, reviewing their work and supporting their professional development.
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, with a mix of Big 4 public accounting and corporate tech industry experience preferred.
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
- Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and SEC reporting frameworks.
- Hands‑on experience administering or deeply utilizing mid‑to‑enterprise tier ERPs (such as Net Suite) and reconciliation software (such as Black Line).
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
- Bonus:
Experience managing accounting integrations during system migrations or corporate acquisitions.
