Tarvos Talent is partnering with a sophisticated private family office in Austin, Texas (on-site) to hire a Senior Tax Accountant
. This is a highly visible role supporting a complex real estate investment portfolio, offering direct exposure to decision‑makers and the opportunity to work on advanced, high‑impact tax strategies in a collaborative, relationship‑driven environment.
- Manage complex tax matters across partnerships, corporations, disregarded entities, and real estate investment structures
- Coordinate with external CPA firms to support timely and accurate tax filings across numerous entities
- Assist in developing tax strategies related to acquisitions, dispositions, refinancing, and entity structuring
- Analyze tax implications related to operations, investments, and wealth planning initiatives
- Support compliance tied to HUD/HAP contracts, LIHTC programs, and HFC-related structures
- Collaborate with legal and tax advisors on transaction structuring and planning
- Serve as a key contact for tax-related requests and special projects
- Monitor federal, state, and local tax law changes impacting real estate and high‑net‑worth individuals
- Identify and implement process improvements for tax reporting and compliance
- Partner with internal accounting teams and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders
- CPA license required
- 8+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, family office, real estate, private equity, or similar environments
- Strong knowledge of partnership taxation, flow‑through entities, and complex ownership structures
- Deep understanding of real estate tax principles and investment structures
- Experience with HUD/HAP, LIHTC, or HFC-related entities strongly preferred
- Exposure to high‑net‑worth tax planning and estate considerations preferred
- Proven ability to coordinate with external CPA firms and manage multi‑entity filings
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with senior stakeholders
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
