- Oversee project budgets by tracking expenses, forecasts, and cost variances using advanced accounting software such as SAP, Xero, Sage, or ERP systems.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis and cash flow assessments to ensure projects stay within financial parameters.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, balance sheets, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports by interpreting data from various sources including Quick Books, Quicken, and other financial software tools.
- Collaborate with project managers and finance teams to develop accurate cost forecasts and budgets aligned with project goals.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) regulations during all financial activities.
- Perform account reconciliation tasks such as double entry bookkeeping, account analysis, and ledger reconciliation to uphold data integrity.
- Support corporate accounting functions including payroll processing, financial report writing, and internal control procedures.
- Proven experience in public accounting or corporate finance with a focus on cost management and financial analysis.
- Strong knowledge of accounting concepts including debits & credits, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger accounting.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as SAP, Sage, Xero, Quick Books, Quicken or similar ERP systems.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance standards and financial report interpretation techniques.
- Ability to perform cash flow analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and data collection for accurate financial planning.
- Excellent understanding of GAAP standards and technical accounting principles relevant to project cost control.
- Experience in account reconciliation processes including accounts payable/receivable management and general ledger reconciliation.
