Responsibilities- Work with a team to identify tax savings opportunities for clients.
- Research issues, reconcile databases, and complete detailed calculations.
- Assist in verification processes with taxing authorities.
- Create positive team member experiences that drive revenue and profit.
- Respond to client inquiries and requests from tax authorities.
- Attend client meetings and property inspections.
- Review client property tax records.
- Apply software knowledge to work efficiently with client data.
- Research tax issues.
- Prepare and review property reports and renditions.
- Analyze assessment notices and determine potential assessment reductions.
- File appeals.
- Determine liability for development projects.
- Work with tax incentive issues for clients.
- Interact frequently with team members.
- Communicate effectively in written and verbal channels.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration/Management, Business Computer Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Finance, International Business, Public Administration, Real Estate, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in Business Discipline or JD, Business Analytics, Operations and Supply Chain Management is an advantage.
- Minimum of 6 hours of accounting, economics, real estate, or finance coursework with a 3.0 GPA or higher, and a major GPA of 3.25 or higher.
- Relevant work experience preferred (e.g., internships, summer positions, school jobs) or one to three years of audit or tax‑related experience.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, strong verbal and written communication, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet navigation and research.
Work EnvironmentStandard indoor environment with occasional long periods of sitting while working at a computer. Requires regular interaction with employees and clients via email and telephone, and independent travel up to 10‑20%.
