The RoleThe Assistant Director of Finance supports the financial operations of the hotel by assisting with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, internal controls, audits, accounts payable/receivable, and compliance with company and brand standards. This role helps ensure accurate financial management while supporting operational departments in achieving business goals and profitability targets.
Financial Management & Reporting- Monitor daily revenue, expenses, labor costs, and cash flow.
- Ensure timely and accurate month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
- Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations for cost control and revenue enhancement.
- Support preparation of ownership and corporate reporting packages.
- Supports accounts payable, accounts receivable, income audit, and general cashier functions.
- Ensure proper reconciliation of bank accounts, balance sheets, and general ledger accounts.
- Maintain accurate accounting records in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, financial procedures, and audit requirements.
- Support internal and external audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard hotel assets.
- Supervise and mentor accounting and finance team members.
- Assist in training staff on financial systems, procedures, and compliance standards.
- Foster a collaborative and service‑oriented work environment.

Qualifications Experience Required- 3-5 years of finance career progression; preferred experience in hospitality, retail, or a related industry.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality, Business or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
