Job Summary

Financial Analyst I – Supports the Financial Services Division at the US Marshals Service by processing financial documents, ensuring compliance, and maintaining analytical rigor.

Must be a U.S. Citizen. Clearance required to obtain Public Trust. Onsite position in Austin, TX 78701.

• Processes financial documents and transactions from designated Districts using the Unified Financial Management System (UFMS).
• Reviews accounting practices to ensure compliance with federal laws, regulations, the Single Audit Act, generally accepted Government accounting practices, and relevant budget circulars.
• Identifies corrective actions for improper or illegal expenditures and accounting funds.
• Reviews and analyzes annual financial statements to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, program policies, and procedures.
• Demonstrates proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software and possesses general knowledge of financial statements.

• Four-year undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
• Superior attention to detail.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
