ResponsibilitiesThe Credit Union Department is seeking a Deputy Commissioner to join its executive leadership team. In this role, you will ensure that Texas‑chartered credit unions operate in compliance with state and federal laws, evaluate the safety and soundness of credit unions, identify operational deficiencies, and implement corrective measures to safeguard their financial integrity. You will also identify and manage strategic risks, confer with board members, organization officials, and staff to discuss and resolve issues, coordinate activities, and enhance agency effectiveness.
Additionally, you will act on behalf of the Commissioner during absences.
- Five (5) years of progressive experience in credit union regulation or examination
- Five (5) years of direct management and supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of state and federal credit union laws and regulations
Preferred start date:
November 2025. The agency offers flexibility for start dates in December 2025 or January 2026.
