Technology & Operations Intern (Volunteer/Scholarship)

Young Americans for Liberty is looking for a Technology & Operations Intern to support the systems and processes that keep the organization running.

This is not a narrow internship. You will work across technology and operations, helping execute the day‑to‑day work that allows teams to move faster and focus on higher‑impact priorities. If you are comfortable jumping into different types of work, learning quickly, and taking ownership of tasks, this role will give you exposure to how a real operations and tech function runs.

About

the role

The Technology & Operations Intern supports YAL’s Technology Operations and broader Operations teams by handling a wide range of technical and operational tasks. This role is intentionally broad. In a given week, you may work on spreadsheet cleanup, support triage, documentation, research, vendor follow‑ups, event preparation, or small system updates. The value of this role is flexibility and execution. You will work from an evolving task queue rather than a fixed set of responsibilities, supporting whatever work needs to get done.

This role is designed to reduce day‑to‑day execution load so full‑time staff can focus on higher‑level system and operational priorities.

You will report to YAL’s IT Generalist and work directly with members of the Operations team.

Location:

Austin, TX (remote considered for exceptional candidates)

Hours:
