The Growth Capital Advisory group is a global team that focuses on advising some of the most exciting companies across the United States and Europe at the forefront of technological innovation in their respective industries on their strategic financing requirements from late-stage venture to pre-IPO. The team has raised over $9bn for their clients in the last 3 years across a multitude of stages and sectors.
Lazard is seeking to recruit an Analyst to join the Growth Capital Advisory team in Austin, Texas.
- Build and execute financial models, valuation analyses, and cap table / waterfall analyses that inform pricing and transaction structure
- Support the preparation of client presentations, investor materials, and other marketing materials
- Track and synthesize trends across the private markets ecosystem, including capital raises, M&A activity, sector momentum, and evolving investor appetite
- Help develop and maintain relationships with leading growth-stage investors and identify the most relevant capital partners for each process
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate internal research, data-processing, and internal work streams
- Work directly alongside senior bankers, founders, and institutional investors throughout live processes
- Current enrollment at a U.S. university with an expected graduation date in Spring 2027
- Excellent academic credentials;
Minimum 3.6 GPA - Investment banking or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong analytical skills with extensive training in the building of presentation materials and financial modelling and accountancy – e.g. 3 statement models, valuation methodologies, etc.
- A passion for technology with an entrepreneurial mindset and high degree of intellectual curiosity
- Excellent attention to detail and high standards of accuracy
- High level of responsiveness with a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining a high-quality work product
- A team player mindset; ability to work as part of a close-knit team
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate both to deal teams and external clients
- Strong ability to multi-task
- An ability to utilize AI tools and interest in how they can be used to improve the efficiency of the team

We expect the base salary for this role to be approximately $120,000 USD.
