Scale View Partners is seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join our Austin team and play a central role in advising founder-led software companies on M&A and growth capital transactions.
As an Associate, you will work directly with senior bankers across every phase of a transaction, from financial analysis and positioning through buyer outreach, diligence, negotiation, and closing. This is a highly execution-oriented role with significant client exposure, meaningful responsibility, and the expectation that you will contribute judgment and insight, not simply produce materials.

What You'll Do- Execute transactions from start to finish. Help drive M&A and capital-raising processes from engagement kickoff through closing, owning key work streams and keeping transactions moving.
- Analyze software businesses. Build and interpret the analyses that matter in software M&A, including ARR bridges, cohort and retention analyses, churn, revenue quality, customer concentration, unit economics, operating models, and valuation.
- Turn analysis into insight. Go beyond producing numbers. Identify the key drivers of growth, retention, profitability, and valuation, surface potential issues before buyers do, and help translate complex financial data into a clear investment narrative.
- Develop compelling transaction materials. Create Confidential Information Memoranda, management presentations, buyer materials, and other deliverables that clearly articulate a client's business, market opportunity, financial profile, and strategic value.
- Work directly with clients and counter parties. Participate actively in client calls, management meetings, buyer discussions, and diligence sessions as a contributing member of the deal team.
- Drive transaction processes. Coordinate data rooms, diligence requests, buyer communications, and work streams across management teams, investors, legal counsel, accountants, and other advisors.
- Support business development. Contribute to pitches, company and market research, valuation work, and other initiatives that help Scale View win new engagements and deepen relationships with software founders.
- 2 to 4 years of investment banking experience
, with meaningful exposure to software or SaaS transactions. Experience advising founder-led companies in the lower middle market is a plus. - Strong SaaS financial and analytical skills. You can build and pressure-test the models and analyses that matter in software M&A, including recurring revenue, retention, cohort behavior, unit economics, revenue quality, and valuation.
- The ability to turn numbers into a story. You can move from a large dataset or financial model to the handful of insights that actually matter. You understand what drives value, what sophisticated buyers will scrutinize, and how to translate a company's financial performance into a credible, compelling investment narrative.
- Excellent communication skills. You write clearly, communicate concisely, and are comfortable interacting with founders, CEOs, senior investors, and other transaction professionals.
