GENERAL DESCRIPTION:Perform highly advanced (senior-level) contract management work for high dollar, high profile contracts. Work involves developing and evaluating contracts for products and services. Plan, assign, and oversee the work of others. Work is performed under minimal supervision with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Education
High School Diploma/equivalent required. Graduation from an accredited four‑year college or university with a major in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field is preferred.
ExperienceMinimum of six (6) years full‑time purchasing, contracting or contract management. Two (2) years of direct Texas State purchasing or contracting experience preferred. Experience administering high dollar and highly complex contracts and facilitating contract activities utilizing the Texas Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Offers (RFOs) are preferred.

If driving is required, must possess a valid driver license from state of residence. Must possess or be able to attain a Certified Texas Contract Developer (CTCD) [formerly Certified Texas Procurement Manager] and Certified Texas Contract Manager (CTCM) with eleven (11) months of hire. Must maintain valid certification for continued employment in this position.
