Overview
Performs complex contract management work for the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) Child Support Division (CSD), Case Processing Contracts section. Work involves contract administration and quality assurance responsibilities to ensure vendor compliance with contract terms. May also assist Employer Liaison with projects, customer service, and technical assistance work. Responsibilities- Prepares quality assurance reviews; develops and reviews contract documentation; performs investigative tasks related to quality assurance results
- Monitors contract deliverables and reports adherence to contract requirements, schedules, and policies; evaluates contract performance by participating in desk or on-site visits for compliance with contract and agency policies
- Manages shared mailbox functions, assists the Employer Liaison and Contract Leads with administrative functions.
- Assists employers via telephone as needed.
- Studies and analyzes vendor operations to identify issues, problems, and prepares reports of findings and recommendations; participates and assists in coordinating, scheduling, and documenting vendor meetings
- Monitors correspondence, issues, and action items to facilitate timely resolution of issues and collaborates with service providers and staff on quality assurance reviews, performance measures, and remedy assessments
- Interacts with program and contract staff to document contract compliance, determine trends concerned with methods of operations or procedures, and resolve technical problems
- May provide input on developing and/or revising policy and procedure manuals.

- Works on special projects or duties as assigned
- Examines invoices, financial data, and monitors contract budgets and expenditures; assists in the preparation of budget projections and adjustments; and suggests remedy assessment and deliverable acceptance
- Performs related work as assigned
- Maintains relevant knowledge necessary to perform essential job functions
- Attends work regularly in compliance with agreed-upon work schedule
- Ensures security and confidentiality of sensitive and/or protected information
- Complies with all agency policies and procedures, including those pertaining to ethics and integrity
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; experience in the following (or closely related) fields may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis:
Child Support or Customer Service, auditing, bookkeeping, business administration, contract administration/management, general business administration, purchasing, quality assurance, or state government - Two years of full-time experience in any of the following (or closely related) fields:
Child Support or Customer Service, auditing, bookkeeping, business administration, contract administration/management, general business administration, purchasing, quality assurance, or state government - Skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access (including ability to create documents/reports, use basic formulas, and perform data entry)
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and communicating with outside agencies, other governmental entities, and internal sections
- Skill in exercising sound judgment and effective decision making
- Skill in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines
- Ability to analyze information, identify issues, and provide basic recommendations or summaries
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, including preparing clear summaries and documentation.
- Ability to serve and support with a great attitude, possess a willingness to learn and desire to help others
- Ability to receive and respond positively to constructive feedback
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively with others in a professional environment
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Ability to arrange for personal transportation for business-related travel
- Ability to work more than 40 hours as needed and in compliance with the FLSA
- Ability to lift and relocate 30 lbs.
- Ability to travel (including overnight travel) up to 5%
- Experience in the Child Support program
- Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
- Certification:
Certified Texas Contract Manager (CTCM); certification must be obtained within 12 months of employment with the OAG
