Job Opportunity

Are you an experienced Manager, ready for a unique opportunity to grow with an environmental state agency? Join TCEQ! We bring passion and drive to carry out our mission of protecting our state's public health and natural resources. As part of TCEQ Compliance and Enforcement, you would help ensure that those we regulate comply with the state's environmental laws. This position is a member of our Waco Regional Office.

Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Manages and communicates information regarding compliance and enforcement activities for the region's Air and Waste Program.
  • Coordinates, schedules, monitors, and communicates information regarding the progress of the region's Air Program.
  • Completes personnel management functions, which includes interviewing, hiring, and developing staff, performance management, etc.
  • Advises the Regional Director of significant program issues.
  • Provides outreach and technical assistance to the general public, regulated community, media, and government officials.
  • Provides technical and programmatic input for regulation development.

Key qualifications:

  • Experience supervising technical groups.
  • Required education and experience:
    Experience in the management of a business function, division, or department relevant to assignment. OR Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field relevant to assignment.

Work schedule:

Standard business hours are M-F, 8:00 a.m.

- 5:00 p.m. Individual and work group schedule determined by the TCEQ Waco Regional Office.
