This position will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of wage garnishments and other payroll-related deductions while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and court requirements.
- Process and maintain employee wage garnishments in accordance with court orders and applicable regulations
- Review and interpret garnishment orders, child support orders, tax levies, and other wage withholding documentation
- Calculate and process required deductions accurately and timely
- Respond to inquiries regarding garnishments and wage withholding
- Maintain accurate garnishment records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Coordinate with internal payroll and HR teams as needed
- Research and resolve discrepancies or issues related to garnishments
- Assist with payroll-related reporting, reconciliations, and audits
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll information
- 2+ years of payroll experience, with direct experience processing garnishments
- Ability to interpret court orders and garnishment documentation
- Experience with Workday and/or other payroll systems preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
