* Graduation with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economic Development, Urban Planning, or in a related field to the job, plus five (5) years of experience in management of projects and programs related to the job, including two (2) years of experience which were in a managerial capacity.
* Graduation with a Master's degree from an accredited college or university may substitute for non-management experience up to a maximum of two (2) years.
* ** Budgeting Experience** - Ability to oversee budget development and administration, including forecasting, expenditure approval, and adjustments. Ensures the department's financial resources support its strategic goals.
* ** Community Collaborator** - Experience in presenting strategies to internal and external stakeholders on projects and programs that may include public outreach, City Council updates, and program implementation.
* ** Marketing Experience** - Experience understanding audience needs, analyzing market trends, and using data to shape outreach efforts that build trust, strengthen engagement, and enhance the organization's reputation.
* ** Department Leadership & Strategy** - Ability to lead the development and implementation of departmental goals, policies, and staffing priorities; ensures alignment with citywide objectives and allocates resources accordingly.
* ** Cross Departmental Collaboration**:
Ability to coordinate closely with other City departments and external agencies.
* ** Social Intelligence** - Ability to connect to others in a deep and direct way; to sense reactions and stimulate desired interactions.
* ** Customer Focused** - Strives to deliver high-quality results and superior service that exceeds expectations while remaining mindful of the needs and perspectives of both internal and external customers.
