Job Summary:
Join our customer’s team as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and play an essential role in empowering individuals to achieve independence and improve their quality of life. Responsibilities- Instruct or assist patients and families in developing home programs, basic living skills, and using adaptive equipment.
- Collaborate closely with occupational therapists to implement individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting client autonomy.
- Monitor and encourage patients’ progress during therapy activities, offering constructive feedback and motivation.
- Maintain a positive, supportive attitude toward clients and their treatment goals.
- Document and communicate patient progress, attitudes, and behaviors to supervisors both verbally and in writing.
- Contribute valuable insights to the training of AI technologies, ensuring they reflect the nuances of excellent occupational therapy support.
- Promote consistently high standards of care and professional integrity within the team environment.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency with brain
Train IVA+Plus, Brain Train Captain’s Log, Language Arts and Math Educational Software. - Hands-on experience with database tools such as Dbase, Filemaker Pro, Microsoft Access, and Email Software including Microsoft Outlook.
- Familiarity with eClinical
Works EHR Software, Laboratory Information Systems, and Visual Health Information (VHI) PC-Kits. - Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills for creating educational and progress reports.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with a genuine care for clear, compassionate interaction.
- Detail-oriented and able to report on patient outcomes accurately and efficiently.
- Strong teamwork ethos and adaptability in a remote, collaborative environment.
- Previous experience assisting with the integration or training of AI technologies in healthcare or rehabilitation settings.
- Certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse patient populations in virtual care models.
