Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an MFM Sonographer with OB/GYN registry and fetal echo experience for a 13-week travel contract in a hospital-based Fetal Testing Center in Austin, TX.
Responsibilities- Position is based in a hospital Women's Tower Fetal Testing Center with 6 exam rooms
- Day shift schedule:
Monday–Thursday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (or last patient seen) and Friday 8:00 AM–12:00 PM (or last patient seen) - No call or weekend requirements
- Procedures include fetal anatomy scans, BPP, Dopplers, fetal echocardiograms, first trimester nuchal screening, amniocentesis, and CVS
- Equipment includes GE Voluson 22 and GE Voluson E10 ultrasound systems
- EMR systems used:
Meditech, Viewpoint, and Sectra - Unit team consists of RNs, sonographers, PCTs, and office staff on day shift
- Fetal Echo Registry is preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment is important for success in this role
- Required scrub colors are olive green top with black bottoms
- Permanent positions may be available on this unit for qualified candidates
- Minimum of 1 year of MFM ultrasound experience with OB/GYN registry required
- Fetal echo experience or demonstrated ability to proficiently image fetal cardiac structures required
- ARDMS certification required
- Active license required if applicable
- Must have active experience within the past 6 months in the role
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
