The Speech Therapist provides high‑quality, patient‑centered care by developing and conducting individualized therapy programs for patients with communication, cognitive, and/or swallowing impairments. As a member of the healthcare team, the Speech Therapist performs comprehensive patient assessments and establishes appropriate treatment goals. The Speech Therapist serves as an educator to patients, families, students, and colleagues.

• You will conduct a subjective assessment of assigned patient’s speech language abilities during spontaneous conversation. You will administer objective tests to assess patient’s communication assets and liabilities.
• You will structure and implement individualized patient program to improve communication abilities.
• You will evaluate patient regularly during treatment and adjust program as needed to maximize patient progress.
• You will document progress in patient’s chart. You will complete notes, charges, discharge notes and patient communication.
• You will consult with Program Director and Rehab Physician/Medical Director regarding pre‑screen assessments and physician consultations to determine appropriate placement of potential patients.

• Master’s Degree
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (SLP) Speech‑Language Pathologist
