Veterinary Hospital Day Porter
OverviewEnsure cleanliness, organization and safety throughout the veterinary hospital to support daily function and patient care. The role supports all areas—medical, administrative, and communal—and creates a professional environment for clients, patients, and staff.
Compensation$15–$17 hourly, based on experience.
Anticipated Schedule- Full Time:
Monday – Friday, 7/8 am – 4/5:30 pm
- Maintain client‑facing spaces clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Perform daily walkthroughs to identify and address visible issues.
- Clean and disinfect exam rooms, treatment rooms, isolation areas, bathrooms, offices, reception, break rooms, and hallways.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum floors as needed.
- Empty and replace trash and recycling bins.
- Sanitize restrooms regularly.
- Keep reception area neat and sanitary.
Skills And Abilities
- Laundry duties: wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and towels.
- Transport retail and food supplies to reception.
- Escort incoming pets to designated areas as required.
- Assist with minor maintenance projects inside and occasionally outside the hospital.
- Perform additional cleaning or support tasks as assigned.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferred experience in a clinical laboratory or veterinary setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Good communication with coworkers and clients.
- Willingness to learn new tasks quickly.
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
