Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular​/CVOR

Position: Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular OR/CVOR
American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN to provide independent, advanced cardiovascular surgical care on a day shift schedule in a high-volume hospital environment.

Job Details

• Work in the CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) within a hospital surgical department,

• Care for adult patients requiring cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures, including bypass, valve replacements, heart transplants, and advanced interventions such as ECMO and TAVR,

• Perform complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures in both open and endovascular operating room suites with 4-6 ORs available,

• Schedule consists of 10-hour day shifts, Tuesday through Friday beginning at 6:30 am,

• Required participation in after-hours and weekend call coverage, including potential holiday call,

• Expected to function independently in a fast-paced, high-volume surgical setting,

Job Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license verified before start,

• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required,

• Minimum 3 years recent full-time CVOR nurse experience in a high-volume hospital required,

• Proficiency in all aspects of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures mandatory,

• Verifiable references confirming prior travel assignments with no need for additional onboarding required,

• ACLS certification preferred,

• US Social Security Number and US home address required,

• Copy of driver's license, full date of birth, and credentials such as Nursys verification must be provided for consideration,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing major cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases and managing advanced devices,

• Must provide two separate references from recent travel assignments,

• Dress code requires scrubs per surgical team standards,

• Local candidates accepted but may receive a different pay rate depending on distance from facility,

• COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this assignment,
