Greater Austin Pain Center is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Advanced Procedure Scheduler to join our growing team. About the Role

As an Advanced Procedure Scheduler, you will play a critical role in coordinating surgical and interventional procedures while ensuring seamless communication between patients, providers, and healthcare staff. Your expertise will help create a positive patient experience and support efficient clinical operations. This position requires travel between our Austin, Kyle, San Marcos, and Dripping Springs locations on a regular weekly basis to support operational needs across the practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and schedule surgical and procedural appointments with providers, patients, and medical staff
  • Collect and verify patient demographics, insurance information, and medical history
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
  • Utilize electronic health record systems for scheduling and documentation
  • Communicate pre-procedure instructions and appointment details to patients
  • Manage incoming calls and patient inquiries professionally and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate scheduling records and manage changes or cancellations as needed
  • Support office operations to ensure smooth workflow within the procedural department
Qualifications
  • Experience in a medical office, scheduling, or healthcare administrative role required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Medicare processes and medical coding strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in data entry and 10-key typing
  • Understanding of medical office management practices and procedures

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Pain management experience is a plus, but not required
