Position: Patient Access Specialist
Location: Austin, Texas - Westlake & Lakeway
Job Type: 2 Positions Available - PRN (Days 7a-7p & Nights 7p-7a)

MUST have the flexibility to cover both facilities.

The Patient Access Specialist serves as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient process from appointment scheduling to insurance verification. This is a crucial role in ensuring patients have the information and support they need to access care seamlessly.

What you’ll be doing
  • Greet and assist patients in-person and over the phone, handling registration and inquiries
  • Verify patient insurance and demographic information accurately
  • Provide strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening
  • Manage patient flow
  • Collect necessary paperwork and coordinate with various departments for patient care
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve patient questions or issues
What we’re looking for
  • 1-2 years of Medical Insurance verification experience required
  • 2-3 years of Customer Service experience in the medical field required
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required within sixty (60) days from start date
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience with MS Office, EMR/EPM systems
  • MUST be flexible with schedule; including day, evening, weekend hours, and holidays per facility needs
