Responsibilities- Accurately and completely report and document status, care rendered, responses to care, provider orders, and contacts with patients and other healthcare providers.
- Re‑fill medication following ARC refill protocols.
- Room patients, take and document vital signs, and prepare patients for provider exam.
- Follow clinic protocols and directions given by nursing team leader or supervisor.
- Perform diagnostic testing, including EKGs, audiograms, tympanograms, spirometry, and visual screenings with appropriate reporting and documentation.
- Monitor inventory of medical and office supplies and equipment, ensuring units and rooms are properly stocked, supplies are current, and no items are expired; order supplies as needed.
- Review both provider refill in basket and assist with daily medication refill requests using the ARC refill protocol.
- Review EPIC triage call inbox for any callbacks.
- Clean patient rooms and handle dirty laundry properly.
- Maintain a stock of fresh linens in the laundry cart daily.
- Assist providers with sigmoidoscopy exams and cardiac stress testing by setting up equipment, assisting with patient preparation, cleaning and storing equipment after exams, and reporting and documenting appropriately.
- Maintain equipment (autoclaves, sterilizers, speculums, etc.), including checking expiration dates and performing routine maintenance.
- Adhere to all company policies, including OSHA, HIPAA, compliance, and the Code of Conduct.
- Maintain regular and dependable attendance.
- Follow the core competencies set forth by the Company.
- Work holiday shift(s) as required by Company policy.
- LVN Responsibilities
- Administer medications and injections.
- Provide direct nursing care to patients and distribute medications and treatments under physician order according to accepted standards of care.
- Teach and counsel patients and families regarding health assessment, disease prevention, and health maintenance.
- Assist with vaccine management, including ordering, monitoring usage/wastage, maintaining inventories, participating in educational opportunities, and completing required documentation.
- Facilitate the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the immunization program.
- Call patients and inform them of lab results.
- Perform patient follow‑up activities including laboratory results, diagnostics, appointments, referrals, medications, and callbacks.
- Participate in the orientation of new employees.
- Staff Medical Assistant Responsibilities
- Provide patients with educational materials as directed.
- Administer medication under physician’s direction within the scope of practice, following training and testing completion.
- Review result notes in basket and inform patients of normal lab results.
- Review provider instructions regarding abnormal results.
- LVN
- High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited vocational nursing school.
- Previous experience in an ambulatory or acute care setting preferred.
- Current licensed as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in Texas and current AHA‑approved Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification required.
- Skills:
engage others, align actions with team goals, excellent computer and keyboarding skills, strong communication (verbal and written), organization, customer service, problem solving, multi‑tasking, and attention to detail. Knowledge of nursing practices and quality care within scope of this role.
- Staff Medical Assistant
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Required to meet one of the following:
Medical Assistant experience; or CNA/EMT/PCT (or comparable) experience providing direct patient care beyond ADLs, including vitals and medication; or graduation from a medical assistant program. - Preferred:
Six months or more experience as a Medical Assistant. - Certifications:
Medical Assistant certification preferred; current AHA‑approved BLS CPR certification required within 60 days of hire. - Skills:
administer medications and injections within scope, medical terminology, organizational abilities, phone communication, multi‑tasking, customer service, written and verbal communication, team collaboration, computer and keyboarding skills, and ability to manage competing priorities.
