Director of Rehabilitation (DOR)
Reports To:
Regional/District Rehab Director or Facility Administrator
Leads and manages rehab department, ensuring compliance with regulations, supervising therapy staff, and maintaining patient care quality.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Manage staffing, scheduling, and supervision of therapy staff.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare, company, and state regulations.
- Monitor performance, documentation, and productivity.
- Serve as liaison with leadership and families.
- Provide direct clinical care as appropriate.
- Current licensure as OT, PT, or ST.
- Supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicare and rehab regulations.
- Leadership and supervisory skills.
- Organizational and communication skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making.
- Lift 50–100 lbs safely.
- Frequent standing, walking, administrative work.
Reports To:
Director of Rehabilitation
Diagnoses and treats patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Develops therapy plans to maximize communication and swallowing safety.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Conduct diagnostic evaluations of speech, language, swallowing.
- Develop and implement therapy plans.
- Document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) preferred.
- Current state license.
- At least one year of clinical experience preferred.
- Expertise in communication and swallowing disorders.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Ability to educate patients and families.
- Assist patients during therapy activities.
- Frequent sitting, standing, light lifting.
- Healthcare and LTC facility work environment.
