Position: Brookdale at Home CNA

Responsibilities
  • One on One companionship
  • Non-Medical Hands on Care; including dressing, bathing, grooming, personal care and assistance with transfers
  • Housekeeping and Laundry

Works independently in the client's personal home respecting supervision and support as per state regulations. Receives and communicates changes in the client's care needs and requested adjustments. Provides personal care and concierge/homemaker/companion services per individualized plan of care. Documents all pertinent information regarding care, assists clients with activities of daily living, prepares residents for meals and assists to and from dining areas, performs vital signs and many other routine duties described in detail in the job specification.

Base pay in range will be determined by applicant's skills and experience. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company's 401(k) program.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. Proof of completing an approved Certified Nursing Assistant program is required. Six months experience in working independently with clients in the general public in their own personal homes providing healthcare/homecare services is preferred.

Certifications, Licenses and

Special Requirements

Successful completion of State C.N.A. course. Must maintain CNA certification. Reliable transportation is required. Must have a valid state identification card, with a valid driver's license being preferred.

Management and Decision Making

Makes standard and routine decisions based on detailed guidelines with independent judgment. Problems are generally solved with clear, detailed guidelines or by reporting them to a supervisor.

Knowledge and Skills

Has a basic level of a skill and can follow written or verbal instructions. Has basic technical skills to complete a few repetitive and well‑defined duties. Has a basic knowledge of the organization in order to answer basic questions. Must have working knowledge of facility emergency procedures including fire and disaster drills. Ability to follow facility policies. Ability to maintain resident confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA policies.
