Medical Laboratory Scientist I - Lewisville, TX
Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Pay and BenefitsPay range: $29.50+ per hour

- Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analyses, reporting, and maintaining records of patient test results.
- Maintain records proving proficiency testing samples are tested consistently with patient specimens.
- Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures.
- Review and release test results.
- Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described.
- Adhere to laboratory policies when test systems fall outside acceptable performance levels.
- Identify problems that may affect test performance or reporting, correct them or notify the senior technologist or supervisor.
Education: BS in Medical Laboratory Science preferred; or BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology, Associate's degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, or previously qualified as a Technologist under 42 CFR 493.
Certification: ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
Work Experience: 1 year clinical experience (high complexity testing) in Special Coagulation.
