Overview

We are hiring immediately for full and part time Patient Server positions. Address: ASMCA - 1201 West 38th Street, Austin, TX 78705.

• Full time and part time schedules; days may vary, 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, 12 hour shifts between these hours. Rotating weekends. More details upon interview.

• Prior patient server experience preferred.

• Responsible for patient food service on assigned units, including menu selections, tray assembly, tray delivery and pick-up, special requests and needs, and in-between meal food delivery.
• Exhibits a friendly, caring attitude to patients when taking menu selections, delivering trays, and interacting with patients during rounds.
• Takes patients' menu selections prior to each meal and complies with dietary restrictions within diet order guidelines.
• Assembles trays according to patients’ menu selections on tray tickets in a timely and accurate manner.
• Interacts with nursing staff to ensure accurate diet prescriptions and patients’ food needs are met.
• Retrieves trays from patients’ rooms and maintains accurate patient information on the unit.
• Monitors patients who are NPO, on liquid diets, or have calorie counts ordered, with dietitian support as needed.
• Adheres to confidentiality and patients’ rights policies (HIPAA) and contributes to patient satisfaction goals by providing quality service.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary working environment and follows HACCP, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Computer skills to operate hospital systems.
