Mary Lee Foundation

Mary Lee Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing diverse services and housing to adults with various types of disabilities. We are looking for dedicated, honest, and responsible individuals to provide compassionate care and support to adults with developmental disabilities in your home and as part of your family.

We are actively seeking Host Home Providers for a female client with intellectual disability.

Host Home Providers create a supportive, family‑like environment and supply all of the care needed for an adult in this program. They also assist with all activities of daily living 24 hours a day.

Pay

$9.00 - $11.00 per hour

WHAT IS THE PROCESS?

Individuals with a developmental disability are matched with Host Home Providers who share the same interests and hobbies as the person seeking support. The size of the home, everyone who lives in the home (family size, kids, animals), and the location of the home all influence the match. If the candidate meets the necessary requirements and seems a good fit we run a background check, a three‑year driving check, and Office of Inspector General checks.

Successful candidates move on to the final stage where the individual supported and their guardian are offered meet‑and‑greet occasions with the Host Home Candidate to ensure a good fit.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and current vehicle registration
  • Ability to pass State/Federal background checks for all members in the home
  • Must live in Travis County
  • Must have means of transportation (for medical appointments, day services/employment, preferred activities, and personal needs shopping)
  • Must be willing to receive training in medication administration, CPR/First Aid, and other specifics surrounding the individual’s needs
  • Computer or laptop, printer, scanner, and internet for daily documentation
  • Completion of all required trainings
  • Must have detailed verbal and written communication skills
  • Must understand and comply with all agency and state policies and procedures
  • Must attend and participate in all meetings
  • Must maintain a clean and orderly home
