Lab Corp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Austin, TX

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday hours will vary based on coverage needs between 7:00am to 7:00pm (overtime and rotating weekends may be required as needed)

Job Responsibilities:

* Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

* Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.

* Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

* Process billing information and collect payments when required

* Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis

* Maintain patient and specimen information logs

* Provide superior customer service to all patients

* Administrative and clerical duties as necessary

* Travel to various clinic sites

Minimum Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

* 2 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment

* 2 or more years' experience assisting all patient age groups (pediatric - geriatric)

* Current or prior Lab Corp experience

Additional Job Standards:

* Will cover sites in Austin, TX and surrounding areas (75+ miles)

* Ability to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment

* Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

* Be 21 years of age or older and have a clean driving record

* Access to reliable transportation

* Flexibility to work overtime as needed

* Exceptional customer service

* Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

* Ability to work independently or in a team environment

* Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Float Incentive:
Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement

* QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM
* Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including:

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
