Awkward Recovery is Hiring a Full-Time Therapist!

We’re looking for a licensed therapist who believes recovery is human, messy, relational—and doesn’t need to be polished to be powerful.

• Are licensed (LPC Associate, LMSW, LMFT Associate, LCDC pursuing a Master’s license, or equivalent).
• Are a team player who wants to be part of a local change movement and grow something bigger than yourself
• Are recovery-informed, trauma-informed, and harm-reduction informed
• Aren’t afraid of awkward moments, real emotions, feedback, accountability, or using humor as a healing tool
• Are interested in EMDR training and implementation

• Provide individual and group therapy
• Complete documentation in a timely manner
• Support clients navigating mental health symptoms, trauma, and/or recovery—including relapse, identity, and life transitions
• Engage openly and enthusiastically in growth, learning, and collaboration

• Mission-driven work with real impact — we’re expanding toward multiple locations over the next 5 years and building a strong, values-aligned team to help the Austin community deeply heal and thrive
