Milieu Therapist, Part Time

What you’ll be doing: Schedule

Part Time – 3 shifts per week

The Milieu Therapist facilitates groups based on core curriculum, provides meal monitoring and meal support, and offers milieu support, de‑escalation and behavior coaching to patients in IP/Res and PHP programs. The Therapist may be required to work on‑call shifts based on business needs, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local labor laws.

• Facilitates curriculum‑based groups.
• Provides meal monitoring and support.
• Documentation of groups, meals and patient check‑ins and observations.
• Provides support to Milieu including the following:
  De‑escalation and crisis management.
• Bathroom monitoring.
• Monitoring outside breaks.
• Conducts self‑harm and suicide assessment.
• Support morning routine in IP/Res programs.
• Collect weights, vitals and urine in some settings.
• Implements individual behavior management plans for some patients and serves as clinical lead for the program in standalone programs in evenings and weekends. Will lead more advanced groups.
• Coverage for Primary Therapists with support from Clinical Manager or Clinical Director.

• Bachelor’s degree in mental health or related degree program (required).
• Master’s degree in mental health or related degree program (required).
• Intern or associate license from appropriate state licensing board (required).
• Minimum 18 months of experience in a behavioral health or related field (requirement waived with relevant master’s degree).

• 1+ year facilitating groups (preferred).
