We are seeking mature and team-oriented individuals with a passion for providing exceptional patient care to school-age children and adults in a vision therapy setting. This position provides crucial assistance to developing our patients’ initial and lasting impression about our services and assisting our doctors in a busy practice. The roles of the assistant are to transcribe the medical data into the patient’s chart during evaluations and draft various reports detailing this information.

This position helps prioritize all our medical records, doctors' requests, manage doctors' schedules, and conducts audits to ensure everything is correct. Secondly, the assistant works as a liaison between the doctor and the therapist team and the patient services team, ensuring that information is relayed accurately and in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, have a high attention to detail, be eager to learn, and compassionate.

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Tuesday - Thursday (10:00am - 7:30pm)
  • Friday (10:00am - 6:30pm)
  • Saturday (8:00am - 1:30pm)
  • Travel between OCVT Westlake and Pecan Park locations (as needed)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Scheduling appointments and calendar maintenance for 10+ providers
  • Communicating with patients regarding billing, scheduling, and insurance
  • Relaying information between doctors, therapists, and doctor’s assistants to facilitate patient care
  • Performing other administrative duties as needed
  • Training will be provided
