PurposeProvide administrative support for Patient Access.
Responsibilities- Initiates check-in and check-out procedures in clinic.
- Schedules for new and follow-up appointments.
- Manages various miscellaneous front office responsibilities.
- Participates in other activities and as assigned by Assistant Director or Assistant Manager.
- Demonstrates in regular and punctual attendance pattern.
- Exhibits behaviors consistent with organizational values by demonstrating respect and professionalism, adhering to customer service standards and policies, maintaining patient confidentiality, and actively engaging in quality improvement efforts.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three years of experience with clerical functions working in the front office of a healthcare/medical facility.
- Experience collecting/verifying health insurance information.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to learn tasks quickly with minimal training and supervision.
- Flexibility with shifting priorities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of protected health information.
- Regular and punctual attendance.
- Exhibits customer service-oriented behavior and excellent public relation skills in all aspects of work.
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
- More than the required years of experience with clerical functions.
- Certificate of completion of Medical Assistant program.
- Experience working in the front office of a healthcare/medical clinic.
- Experience using Electronic Health Records, Microsoft Word, Excel software Windows environment.
- Experience working in a student health center.
$42,271.20 per year

Retirement Plan Eligibility:The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
