Job Summary And Qualifications

As an Office Coordinator, you will perform administrative functions in support of the management and operations of the department. You will communicate/correspond with physicians’ offices, other hospital personnel and physicians. You will handle confidential information and maintain HIPAA compliance. You will exercise professional judgment in performance of services and maintain demeanor complementary of medical ethics. You will present a professional appearance through behavior and appearance.

You will participate in patient specific care standards as directed and follow service excellence standards to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction. includes interactions with staff, outside agencies, vendors, physicians, corporate/division staff as well as departments within the facility.

  • You will collaborate with physicians, clinicians, patients, and clerical staff to assure effective and efficient delivery of service(s)
  • You will serve as liaison to clinical staff to communicate status of the patient and their scheduling needs
  • You will supply schedules in a timely manner to therapists with a 95% accuracy
  • You will accurately collect and verify demographic and insurance data either by personal phone call or telephone interview for patients to be admitted to Rehab services program
  • You will disseminate information on a need to know basis for all appropriate telephone and/or personal contacts
  • You will provide assistance, guidance, and direction to patients, visitors, and physicians
  • You will perform general secretarial/clerical functions
  • You will maintain office filing system
  • You will take messages accurately and distributes to proper personnel
  • You will answer phone in courteous/helpful manner
  • You will fax reports and communication notes to physicians and/or staff
  • You will prepare accurate and professional documents and monthly reports to supervisor on time
  • You will promote customer satisfaction as evidenced by meeting customer requirements in all services provided
  • You will uphold and demonstrate St. David s Values through all interactions
  • You will document all appropriate data by standard procedure
What qualifications you will need:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Previous experience in hospital/clinic setting – preferred
  • Front office experience – preferred
  • Medical billing experience - preferred
