Patient Care Coordinator

The Medical Assistant supports clinical and administrative operations to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care delivery. This role works closely with providers and care teams to assist with patient intake, clinical procedures, and documentation while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards.

• Room patients and assist with patient intake, including vitals and medical history documentation
• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient visits and minor procedures
• Perform clinical tasks within scope of practice, such as injections, specimen collection, and EKGs (as applicable)
• Schedule appointments, manage referrals, and coordinate follow-up care
• Update and maintain accurate patient records within the EMR
• Verify insurance information and assist with front-office support as needed
• Communicate with patients regarding care instructions, test results, and follow-up needs
• Maintain infection control, safety standards, and clinic cleanliness
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to support efficient clinic operations

• Clinical and/or administrative experience in a healthcare setting
• Familiarity with EMR systems
• Knowledge of basic clinical procedures and medical terminology
• Strong communication, organization, and patient service skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
