Occupational Therapist
This position is for an Occupational Therapist in an inpatient acute rehabilitation setting. The facility has a focus on the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced significant injuries or illnesses. Rehabilitation programs offer ongoing care and specialized treatment tailored to individual needs. The patient population includes those recovering from strokes, brain injuries, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injuries, amputations, and orthopedic injuries.
The role involves maximizing the health, function, and quality of life of patients through comprehensive rehabilitation programs. The expected patient care ratio is mostly 1:1 treatment, with some group therapy sessions. The therapist will hold a caseload of 5-6 patients per day. Experience in inpatient rehabilitation settings is preferred. The typical equipment used includes durable medical equipment and therapy tools.
The electronic health record system is utilized for documentation purposes. Candidates should be cooperative and possess a desire to be a team player. A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy is required. Common diagnoses treated include stroke, debility, brain injury, amputee cases, cardiac issues, spinal cord injuries, and orthopedic concerns.
