Austin Endoscopy Center North, a leader in minimally invasive gastroenterological procedures, is seeking an Endoscopy Tech to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will prepare procedure rooms, assist physicians during endoscopic procedures, and ensure proper cleaning, disinfection, and maintenance of endoscopy equipment. Responsibilities include patient preparation and support, accurate documentation, and adherence to infection-control standards. Candidates should have prior clinical or endoscopy experience and strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Prepare endoscopy suites, equipment, and supplies prior to procedures
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during endoscopic procedures within defined scope of practice
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize endoscopes and instruments following high-level disinfection protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation and logs for equipment reprocessing and quality checks
- Handle, label, and transport specimens according to policy and regulatory standards
- Position and transport patients safely, assisting with preparation and recovery as directed by clinical staff
- Monitor and maintain stock of supplies, solutions, and disposable items in procedure and reprocessing areas
- Inspect equipment for proper function, report and document any malfunctions or safety issues
- Adhere strictly to infection prevention, safety, and patient privacy standards
- Communicate clearly with patients and team members to support a respectful, team-focused environment
Required Skills
