Position SummaryThe Contracting & Credentialing Specialist oversees provider contracting, credentialing, re-credentialing, and payer enrollment for Training Wheels ABA's ABA and Speech Therapy services. This role ensures providers are properly credentialed and enrolled to support timely service delivery and billing while partnering closely with HR, Recruiting, Clinical Leadership, RCM, and Operations to support organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities- Manageprovidercredentialing and enrollment for BCBAs, RBTs, SLPs, and other clinical providers across commercial insurance plans, Medicaid, and other applicable payers.
- Oversee payer contracting and renewals, including tracking effective dates, re-credentialing requirements, attestations, and fee schedules.
- Maintainaccurateprovider records and CAQH profiles,ensuring licenses, certifications, liability insurance, and other required documentation remain current.
- Monitor credentialing timelines and resolve enrollment barriers to prevent delays in provider start dates, scheduling, billing, or service delivery.
- Partner cross-functionally with HR, Recruiting, Clinical Leadership, RCM, Authorizations, Scheduling, Billing, and Operations to align credentialing with onboarding and organizational growth.
- Support new clinic and service expansions by coordinating credentialing and payer enrollment needs.
- Maintain credentialing systems and reporting,identifying process gaps and opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and turnaround times.
- Ensure compliance and confidentiality when managing provider, payer, andcredentialinginformation.
- 4+ years of experience in provider credentialing and enrollment, required in ABA, behavioral health, healthcare, or outpatient therapy.
- Strong knowledge of payer credentialing and enrollment processes.
- Experience managing CAQH profiles and commercial and/or Medicaid payer portals.
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple providers, applications, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, tracking systems, and credentialing databases.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
- Experience credentialing both ABA and Speech Therapy providers.
- Familiarity with Texas Medicaid and commercial payer requirements.
- Experience working in a multi-clinic or rapidly growing healthcare organization.
- Experience developing or improving credentialing processes and tracking systems.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and accountable, with strong follow-through and problem-solving skills. You should be comfortable managing multiple deadlines, communicating with insurance payers and internal teams, and taking ownership of the credentialing process from start to finish.
