1099 - Child & Adolescent Therapist - CA

1099 Remote Child & Adolescent Therapist
The Role

Timely Care is seeking independently licensed therapists to provide contracted virtual therapy services to children and adolescents ages 5–17+.

Pediatric and adolescent therapy expands Timely Care’s digital health services beyond higher education and into K-12 communities. Independent contractors supporting this population provide developmentally appropriate behavioral health care to children and adolescents and involve parents or guardians in care when clinically appropriate.

This is an independent contractor opportunity and does not establish an employment relationship with Timely Care.
Contracted Services
Independent contractors providing Child & Adolescent Therapy services through Timely Care may:

  • Provide evidence-based therapy, clinical assessment, diagnosis, case conceptualization, and treatment planning for children and adolescents.
  • Develop individualized care plans based on each client’s developmental, behavioral, and emotional needs and treatment goals.
  • Utilize measurement-based care practices by regularly reviewing validated clinical measures to assess treatment needs, guide care planning, and monitor progress toward established care goals.
  • Use evidence-based interventions such as CBT, DBT, MI, ACT, TF-CBT, PCIT, and other clinically appropriate modalities through engaging and developmentally appropriate virtual sessions.
  • Identify safety concerns, complete safety planning, and provide crisis intervention or escalation when clinically necessary.
  • Coordinate care with parents, guardians, educational professionals, and other appropriate parties when clinically indicated and permitted.
  • Complete timely, accurate, HIPAA-compliant clinical documentation through Timely Care’s designated electronic health record.
  • Maintain treatment goals and documentation consistent with applicable professional, ethical, regulatory, and clinical standards.
  • Independent contractors retain responsibility for exercising their independent professional judgment in the delivery of clinical services within the requirements of their licensure, applicable law, contractual obligations, and Timely Care platform standards.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Active, unrestricted independent clinical licensure as one of the following:
  • Licensed Professional Counselor or equivalent independent counselor license (LPC, LCPC, LMHC)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.; LP/LCP as applicable)
  • Authorization to independently provide clinical services within the applicable state.
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, documentation, and active listening skills.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
  • Ability to appropriately assess and respond to safety concerns, including crisis intervention, de-escalation, and safety planning.

Preferred:

  • Experience providing pediatric or adolescent behavioral health services through telehealth, school-based programs, outpatient mental health, or community mental health settings.
  • Experience or certification in evidence-based pediatric and adolescent treatment modalities such as TF-CBT, CBT, DBT, PCIT, Parent Management Training, or trauma-informed care.
  • Familiarity with family systems and developmentally appropriate clinical interventions.
