The Environmental Services Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area, responsible for overseeing environmental services operations within a healthcare facility. This role manages daily cleaning and sanitation activities, ensuring high standards of safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance to support infection prevention and a positive patient and family experience. The Environmental Services Manager leads and schedules EVS staff, coordinates training and performance management, and collaborates with clinical and administrative teams to meet service expectations and quality metrics.
Additional responsibilities include monitoring supplies and equipment, managing budgets and cost controls, implementing process improvements, and reporting on operational performance and compliance. The manager promotes a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork, modeling Crothall's values and service standards in all interactions.
- Candidates should possess strong Environmental Services and Infection Control skills, with experience in healthcare facility cleanliness, sanitation standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Candidates should possess Training and Operations Management skills, including staff supervision, scheduling, performance coaching, and implementation of standardized processes and procedures.
- Candidates should possess Budgeting and resource management skills, with the ability to manage department expenses, control inventory, and support cost-effective operations.
- Candidates should possess effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships with clinical staff, patients, and families.
- Candidates should possess problem-solving, data interpretation, and continuous improvement skills, with experience using metrics to drive quality and service enhancements.
- Relevant experience in healthcare environmental services or facilities operations is preferred; prior supervisory or management experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is highly beneficial.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare management, facilities management, business) is an advantage.
