Are you a bilingual healthcare billing professional looking to leverage your ABA coding expertise to support patient families and streamline collections?
Our client is a mission-driven organization in the healthcare space focused on providing specialized behavioral health services. They are seeking a dedicated billing specialist to manage post-insurance patient balances, handle direct family communications, and resolve financial inquiries with empathy and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities- Review patient responsibility balances following insurance claim processing and prioritize accounts requiring direct follow-up.
- Contact patient families in both English and Spanish to explain outstanding balances, clarify billing details, and discuss suitable payment options.
- Process, collect, and document patient payments, payment commitments, and interaction notes accurately within the billing platform.
- Follow up on unpaid or overdue balances while escalating billing disputes and account discrepancies to the core billing team.
- Utilize ABA CPT coding knowledge to verify account details, balance calculations, and patient invoice accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with the internal billing team to address account inquiries and maintain seamless billing workflows.
- Proven background managing patient accounts, collecting payments, and resolving medical billing disputes.
- Solid working knowledge of ABA CPT codes to verify account details and interpret claims.
- Full professional fluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken) to effectively communicate with families.
- Hands-on experience navigating healthcare billing platforms and maintaining clear administrative notes.
- Strong collaborative skills with a team-oriented approach to resolving complex account issues.
- Bonus if... You have direct experience utilizing the Central Reach platform or prior experience in specialized healthcare billing environments.
