Medical Biller

The Medical Biller is responsible for managing and processing medical billing tasks to ensure accurate and timely submission of claims to insurance companies. This role is essential in maintaining the financial health of the practice by ensuring that all billing activities are conducted in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Required

Education:

• High School Diploma

• Prior Acute Care experience a plus!

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in medical billing or a related healthcare administrative role.
• Familiarity with medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Experience working in a surgical or outpatient setting is preferred.

• Strong understanding of medical billing procedures, including coding, billing regulations, and insurance claim processing.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Proficient in using billing software and other computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle billing discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
