Your Impact

As the Patient Account Representative/Checkout at Texas Fertility Center, you’re the confident final step in each visit—keeping medical billing accurate, payments clear, and patients supported. This role exists to protect patient accounting integrity while delivering a smooth, reassuring checkout experience.

Key responsibilities:

• Collect copays, coinsurance, deductibles, and outstanding balances at checkout
• Post and reconcile payments; prepare daily closeout documentation and deposits
• Complete insurance verification and benefits coordination to reduce surprises
• Answer billing questions with empathy, clarity, and professionalism
• Maintain precise records in practice management/EHR systems and Microsoft Office

Required qualifications/skills:

• Healthcare billing and patient accounting experience
• Payment posting, reconciliation, and cash-handling accuracy
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and customer service
• Clear communication and calm problem-solving

You’re stationed at the Patient Checkout desk in our Central Austin main office, where the pace is brisk and the finish matters. Conversations shift from quick payments to calm explanations, and you keep the flow steady even as questions pop up. Between patients, you stay synced with the front office and clinical teams, then settle into a focused rhythm of balancing totals and confirming everything matches.

By late afternoon, the day’s numbers align cleanly, and you head out at 5:00 PM knowing the last touchpoint of each visit felt organized, respectful, and clear—exactly how medical billing should feel.
