Job DescriptionOmni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Director of Spa for the beautiful Barton Creek Resort & Spa. Ranked among the best resorts in Texas – Top 5 Resorts in the Southwest (Condé Nast Traveler) and Top 5 Resorts in Texas (Travel + Leisure) – The Spa Director will lead the operational function and management of the Spa, demonstrating leadership throughout the Spa and Hotel to maximize guest and team satisfaction.
The role is responsible for all Spa policies and procedures and directly supervises the Assistant Spa Director as well as Cosmetology and Massage Supervisors.
- Implement and monitor the budget, managing expenses within approved constraints for the entire Spa.
- Lead the Spa team and build relationships with guests and vendors.
- Create, maintain and oversee a profitable Spa that meets or exceeds financial goals.
- Supervise the Spa Manager, therapists, and technicians.
- Create and promote special promotions and events.
- Drive local day‑guest business through gift cards, special occasion celebrations, and holiday events.
- Assist in promoting and marketing the Spa to Hotel guests.
- Provide personal attention to guests.
- Administer policies and procedures.
- Stay “in tune” with the spa industry, adapting to or setting trends.
- Attend product knowledge trainings.
- Degree or professional credentials in spa services, massage therapy, or cosmetology preferred.
- Minimum five years of spa management experience in an upscale hotel or resort preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Familiarity with Resort Suite.
- Ability to oversee departments from a hospitality, motivation, and long‑term planning perspective.
- Strong organizational skills for scheduling staff and clients.
- Proficiency in sales, public relations, and marketing strategies.
- Business acumen in management, budgeting, etc.
- Must have or be able to obtain TABC and Food Handler’s certificates.
- Strong listening, communication, and assessment skills.
- Goal‑oriented, result‑driven, and a problem solver.
- Sincere desire to work well with people, assess their needs, and provide assistance.
- Working knowledge of Excel and Word;
Spa Soft experience preferred. - Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
