Summary
The Guest Service Associate provides excellent hospitality services to guests, including greeting, assisting with luggage, parking and retrieving vehicles, offering directions and information, and handling billing and revenue for parking. Responsibilities include driving safely when retrieving vehicles, maintaining professional demeanor, and completing all required documentation.
CompensationHourly base pay range: $10–$11 per hour plus $13–$14 per hour in tips.
Work ScheduleSchedule varies based on hotel business volume and will be discussed during interview.

Responsibilities- Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with guests, co‑workers, and clients; greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly tone.
- Use polite salutations of the day and welcome guests; practice proper phone etiquette; position oneself in designated areas when not completing tasks.
- Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly, carefully, and cautiously; assist guests with bell services and luggage storage; open vehicle and hotel doors for guests.
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and inquiries; provide information on outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions; deliver messages, items, and guest amenities; shuttle guests to approved locations.
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures; issue claim checks; complete all ticket information including key tags, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and receipt; calculate and collect revenue for parked vehicles.
- Complete all other duties assigned, consistent with the described functions, bringing total time to 100%.
- Education:
High school diploma or GED. - Licensure:
Valid driver’s license for the state of employment. - Experience:
Minimum one month of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Knowledge:
Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. - Skills:
- Read/write standard English, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings to guests, clients, and employees.
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide three‑digit numbers and perform basic math with U.S. currency.
- Understand 24‑hour and military time systems and applicable rates.
- Operate a manual transmission; perform parallel parking.
- Authority:
Work is structured with specific instructions and procedures; decisions made within operational guidelines.
Regularly required to speak or hear; sit or stand for extended periods; run, walk, handle objects; reach, climb stairs; lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, up to 50 lbs frequently, or up to 20 lbs constantly. Work primarily outdoors; subject to extreme heat and cold. Travel up to 5% may be required.
