The Valet Attendant at Lone Star Court Hotel will be present at the hotel entrance. The Valet Attendant will be responsible for greeting and escorting guests, parking and retrieving vehicles, and managing payment for services. The Valet Attendant will exhibit the values and core service standards instituted at Lone Star Court.
Essential Duties & Functions Operational Responsibilities- Greet guests with a warm welcome at the vehicle as they pull up to the front drive.
- Accurately fill out valet parking tickets.
- Review arrivals and any parking needs.
- Keep valet parked keys organized.
- Maintain cleanliness in the front drive and parking lot areas.
- Ensure all valet parked cars are logged into valet log.
- Keep valet stand and supplies clean and organized.
- Keep luggage carts clean and available in front and back of lobby.
- Bring valet stand in/out during morning and evening shifts.
- Be aware of events and meetings on property.
- Assist with any deliveries (in-house and external) as needed.
- Have a workable knowledge of amenities and attractions in the Domain area.
- Review resumes for any parking or shuttle needs.
- Direct guests to appropriate venues and meeting spaces.
- Perform any other duties or responsibilities assigned by management.
- Attend department, hotel and banquet event meetings as scheduled.
- Familiarize and practice all 18 Valencia Hotel Group Core Service Standards; utilize the Valencia Hotel Group Core Standards during every guest interaction.
- Practice all safety standards and guidelines set forth by Lone Star Court.
- Attend Bravo Meetings and one‑on‑one meetings monthly.
- Handle problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving potential valet issues as necessary.
- Effectively listen, understand and clarify concerns and issues raised by co‑workers and guests/visitors.
- Manage and resolve all valet complaints (and compliments) in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assimilate valet information from guests and visitors from different sources and adjust charges to meet the constraints of the particular need.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Lone Star Court standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance, demeanor, and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform while working.
- Comply with Lone Star Court standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Obey all traffic laws and treat hotel and customer property with respect.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time management and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to use devices and apps to communicate with guests and employees.
- Ability to work well with a team and demonstrate attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal abilities.
- Provide a valid Driver License.
- Maintain a clean driving record.
- Follow all hotel safety guidelines and policies in regard to driving within hotel premises.
- Standing/Walking/Running:
Constantly; must stand on the front drive, run to valet cars, and occasionally walk/escort guests to their rooms. - Lifting/Carrying:
Frequently; assist guests with luggage and occasionally bring water & beer cases to stock front desk SMEG fridge. - Other Requirements:
Crouching, twisting, stooping, pushing/pulling luggage carts, reaching overhead/extension; ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Interior:
Comfortable escorting guests inside their rooms during luggage assistance requests. - Exterior:
Comfortable standing for long periods outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas.
- Display courteous behavior with guests and team members.
- Report any unsafe conditions immediately.
- Ensure hotel equipment is in proper working condition.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma, GED or Accredited Courses.
- Hotel Operations or Customer Service preferred.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Effective time management and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work well with a team and demonstrate attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal abilities.
