Assistant General Manager

Overview

As the Assistant General Manager (AGM), you will lead a team in developing and implementing property-wide strategies. Your role is pivotal in successfully implementing brand service strategy and initiatives. The ultimate objective is consistently meeting or exceeding guest, brand and ownership expectations.

• Oversee the teams in all hotel departments including:
  Front Desk, Housekeeping, F&B and Night Audit.
• Hire and manage team members who demonstrate strong functional expertise, creativity, entrepreneurial leadership, and critical thinking to meet the business needs of the operation.
• Develop a thorough knowledge of the hotel staff, services, hours of operation, room details, amenities and hotel surroundings.
• Inspire and motivate employees to achieve operational excellence while practicing strategic retention efforts within the hotel team.
• Ensure staff is accountable for successful performance in a positive manner
• Effectively respond to and resolve guest concerns or complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
• Communicates a clear and consistent message regarding property goals to produce desired results
• Conducts annual performance reviews with direct reports according to Standard Operating Procedures
• Participates in daily/weekly/monthly Operations meetings to ensure strong and sustained interdepartmental communications, problem resolution, and guest satisfaction
• Ensures accurate revenue, expense, and labor forecasts and execution
• Creates appropriate development plans based on individual strengths, development needs, career aspirations and abilities

• The ideal candidate will possess exceptional guest service acumen, leadership, and organization skills, as well as motivation to drive our stellar team to continued success
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to any situation
• Previous hotel experience is required
• Passion for customer service and a positive outgoing personality
• Excellent communications and organizational skills
• Able to motivate the team to provide best-in-class customer service
