Job Summary
The Guest Service Associate provides exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. Responsibilities include parking and retrieving guest vehicles, assisting with luggage, and providing information and support throughout the guest experience.
Compensation & ScheduleHourly base pay: $9.00 per hour + $12–$15.00 in tips. Work schedule depends on hotel business volumes; candidates required to have morning, afternoon, or evening availability.

Responsibilities- Maintain a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co‑workers and clients.
- Greet guests within five feet, using salutation of the day and their last names.
- Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette, and remain available in designated work areas when not completing tasks.
- Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests.
- Assists guests with bell services, luggage storage, directions, taxi and reservation inquiries, and provides information about facility amenities and local attractions.
- Delivers messages, items, and guest amenities as requested; shuttles guests to approved locations.
- Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures upon arrival; issues claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks before returning keys.
- Completes and maintains all ticket information, including key tags, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipt.
- Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when required.
- Education:
High school diploma or GED. - Licensure:
Valid driver’s license for the state of employment (or within commuting distance of that state). - Experience:
Minimum of one month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Knowledge:
Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. - Skills:
- Reading and writing standard English; read simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Effective oral communication in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
- Basic arithmetic (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing up to three‑digit numbers and unit calculations).
- Understanding of 24‑hour, military time systems and associated rates.
- Manual transmission operation and parallel parking highly desirable.
Job is fairly routine. Duties follow established practices and procedures. Incumbent makes decisions within specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Errors may affect the efficiency of the department.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions- Regular talks or hearing; sit or stand for extended periods; run, walk, handle, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl.
- Vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment.
- Lifting: up to 100 lbs occasionally; 50 lbs frequently; 20 lbs constantly.
- Work performed outdoors for extended periods, exposed to extreme heat or cold; weather protection may be limited.
- Travel up to 5% may be required.
