White Lodging develops and operates a portfolio of award-winning premium hotels, rooftop bars, and restaurants in some of the country's most dynamic cities. You'll help bring the virtue of hospitality to life while we create an environment that allows you to be your best self and grow.

Dual

Director of Front Office

Aloft Austin Downtown and Element Austin Downtown are two distinct and complementary Marriott lifestyle brands sharing a dynamic dual-branded hotel presence in the heart of downtown Austin, Texas. Aloft delivers a bold, social, music-forward experience perfectly tuned to Austin's creative energy, while Element offers thoughtfully designed extended-stay accommodations for the modern long-term traveler. Together, they represent one of the most exciting dual-branded hotel operations in the Austin market — and a uniquely complex, high-visibility front office leadership opportunity for the right hospitality professional.

What

You'll Do
  • Oversee all front office operations across Aloft Austin Downtown and Element Austin Downtown — including Front Desk, PBX, Bell, and Concierge functions — ensuring seamless, brand-compliant guest service delivery across both Marriott lifestyle hotel brands
  • Develop and implement front office department strategies that improve financial performance, guest satisfaction scores, and operational efficiency across this dual-branded downtown Austin hotel operation
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the front office leadership team across both properties — providing hands‑on coaching, performance evaluations, and associate development that builds a culture of excellence, accountability, and internal promotion
  • Ensure full adherence to White Lodging policies and procedures, Marriott brand standards, and guest service requirements across all front office operations at Aloft Austin Downtown and Element Austin Downtown
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Sales, and hotel leadership teams at both properties — driving alignment, communication, and a seamlessly coordinated guest experience from arrival to departure
  • Monitor, analyze, and act on guest satisfaction scores and front office performance metrics — implementing strategic corrective actions and service improvements to continuously elevate results across both hotels
  • Manage front office labor, scheduling, and payroll in alignment with budget targets and the operational demands of a dual‑branded hotel environment in a high‑volume downtown Austin market
What You’ll Bring
  • Proven front office leadership experience as a Director of Front Office, Front Office Manager, or senior rooms operations leader — experience in a full‑service, lifestyle, or dual‑branded hotel environment strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Marriott brand standards, systems, and front office protocols — prior experience leading front office operations at an Aloft, Element, or comparable Marriott lifestyle brand a significant advantage
  • Proficiency in hotel property management systems (PMS) and point‑of‑sale (POS) platforms — with a strong working knowledge of front office procedures, rate management, and rooms inventory control
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills — with a demonstrated ability to develop and motivate front office teams across multiple operational priorities and two distinct hotel brands simultaneously
  • Proven ability to drive guest satisfaction scores, front office performance results, and associate engagement in a fast‑paced, high‑volume downtown hotel environment
  • Experience managing front office budgets, labor costs, and scheduling across a complex hotel operation — dual‑branded or multi‑property experience a strong plus
  • A collaborative, guest‑first leadership approach that builds trust across hotel departments, associates, and the broader White Lodging Austin market team
What You Can Look Forward To
  • Unlimited employee referral bonuses
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off (PTO) with rollover
  • Complimentary wellness tools
  • Leadership development & tuition reimbursement
  • Discounts on hotel rooms, dining, and travel
  • Growth opportunities across multiple hotel properties in your market
  • Full‑time associates also receive:
    • Medical, dental, and vision insurance — starting day 1
    • Life and disability insurance
    • Paid parental leave
    • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
