Main Duties
The Housekeeping Supervisor will coordinate all clerical and daily operational functions of the housekeeping department, maintaining a close relationship with all other departments to adhere to company policies and procedures. He/she will maintain all department records; handle all phone calls and guest requests, and disseminate all information as needed while ensuring the safety and confidentiality of all guests.

- Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
- Complete safety training and certifications.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
- Protect company assets.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
- Thank guests with genuine appreciation. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
- Support team to reach common goals.
- Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language.
- Prepare and review written documents accurately and completely.
- Enter and locate work-related information using computers and electronic devices.
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30 pounds without assistance.
- Monitors Room, Public, and House Attendant performance to ensure proper quality, productivity and adherence to safety procedures.

- Complete required Housekeeping paperwork, including reports, worksheets, activity logs, and checklists.
- Contact Engineering, The Hive, Front Office, or Housekeeping office directly for urgent repairs.
- Request preventative maintenance or non-urgent repairs using appropriate method
- Document and report outstanding issues that need to be handled to the manager/supervisor after shift is complete by email.
- Check with the appropriate source (e.g., Housekeeping office, manager/supervisor) for additional assignments throughout the shift.
- Identify room assignments and type of cleaning required for each room based on codes listed on assignment sheets/work boards.
- Previous related guest service experience dealing directly with the public and acquired general knowledge of basic customer service skills.
- Passion for cleanliness and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate and comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as labels and instructions and answer basic guest requests and to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all levels of guests and team members.
- Ability to learn and work with technology including devices such as computers, iPods and iPads.
- Excellent time management skills and can work in a fast-paced environment.
- An honest person with a high level of integrity.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift.
- Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, pull and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally, 30 pounds frequently and 25 pounds constantly. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to follow directions and work in a team environment.
- Ability to effectively cope with change, handle risk and uncertainty comfortably, ability to shift gears at a moment’s notice while being composed under pressure. Does not show frustration when dealing with upset guests or team members.
